Mission Statement

The Town of East Hampton, New York, utilizes two facilities to achieve its solid waste management objectives. The East Hampton Recycling Center, located at 260 Springs Fireplace Road, and the Montauk Transfer Station, located off Montauk Highway just prior to the hamlet. All waste handled by the Town of East Hampton is self-hauled to the disposal centers by residents and small businesses. The Town is not responsible for curbside pick-up of solid waste within the Town. Information related to these facilities including; hours of operation, recycling facility layouts, mandatory recycling items, administrative points of contact, recycling permit renewals via the internet, and other related information may be obtained by clicking the appropriate links to the left or right.

Please Note: The Home Exchange Area is open Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Weather Permitting. As per NYS DEC scavenging is prohibited.
