Office Employees Responsibilities

  • Cover incoming phone calls from the public. Assist when possible, or transfer to proper person or department
  • Preparation of gross payroll
  • Assist in budget preparation
  • Order office supplies
  • Keep daily personnel records (attendance, time sheets, overtime records)
  • Maintenance of budget expenditures
  • Annual state reports (for CHIPS reimbursements)
  • NYS annual road inventory
  • Annual county voucher preparation
  • Preparation of annual highway bids
  • Purchase requisitions
  • Road opening permits
  • Street report requests
  • Maintain street sign reports
  • Maintain reports for litter control (dead deer, evictions)
  • Prepare warrant of claims - Bi-Weekly
  • Correspondence
  • Adopt-A-road records
