Town Projects

  1. Accabonac Harbor Storm Water Remediation

    The Town will design and construct several storm water abatement projects within the Accabonac Harbor Watershed. The goal of these projects is to reduce the number of pollutants that enter the watershed. The storm water projects comply with recommendations and action items contained within the Peconic Estuary Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan and will assist the Town in complying with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) permit.

  2. Coastal Assessment Resiliency Plan

    The Town of East Hampton will complete a Coastal Assessment Resiliency Plan (CARP) that examines erosion risks, storm vulnerability, and expected degree of natural recovery.

  4. Downtown Montauk Stabilization Project

    The purpose of FIMP is to identify, evaluate and recommend long-term solutions for hurricane and storm damage reduction for homes and businesses within the floodplain extending along 83-miles of ocean and bay shorelines from Fire Island to Montauk Point.

  5. Draft Town Water Quality Improvement Plan (PDF)

    This Water Quality Improvement Plan (WQIP) was developed as part of the Community Preservation Fund (CPF) with the goal to help protect and improve environmental integrity in ecologically sensitive areas in the Town of East Hampton.

  8. George Fowler House (PDF)

    The Town-owned George Lewis Fowler house is believed to be the only surviving Montaukett home in East Hampton Town. It is an important symbol of Montaukett History.

  12. Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4)

    In the spring of 2009 the Town of East Hampton was notified by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) that the Town would be covered under what is called an MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) permit issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and administered by NYSDEC.

  13. Napeague Beach Acquisition

    Acquisition by the Town of East Hampton of approximately 5,500 linear feet of beach front property to quiet title in the hamlet of Amagansett, East Hampton, NY

    The Town has begun full enforcement of the Rental Registry Law.
