South Fork Commuter Connection (SFCC) Shuttle Information

South Fork Commuter Connection

The South Fork Commuter Connection (SFCC) is a coordinated rail and bus system created to operate during peak commuting hours, in order to provide workers with a public transportation option to travel.

The service offers local LIRR trips, stopping in Speonk, Westhampton, Hampton Bays, Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Amagansett, and Montauk, and "last-mile" bus shuttle service to get commuters from train stations to workplaces.

This service started March 4th, 2019. It has operated Monday through Friday year round, except for major legal holidays and Fridays during the summer, excluding a pause in service due to the COVID pandemic.

As of May, 2023, summertime Friday train service will be offered, with the exception of the later afternoon westbound train. To assist commuters in returning west, in lieu of the train, the Towns of East Hampton and Southampton have arranged for bus service to be offered for that trip.

Commuters west of the canal are encouraged to park at an LIRR station west of the canal, then ride the train to their destination east of the canal. At the stations east of the canal, ‘Last mile’ shuttle services will bring riders to the Villages, hamlets and employment centers. Late afternoon bus and train services will return riders to their stations of origin.

The LIRR fare is $3.25 each way, which includes the train ride and local ‘last mile’ shuttle services. For complete details please see our FAQ section.
