Commercial Energy Efficiency Upgrades

The Town of East Hampton has updated incandescent lightingfixtures with energy efficient LED’s, and installed Nest smart thermostats in17 of its buildings. The installations were done at no cost to the Town as partof a PSEG and South Fork Peak Savers energy efficiency incentive program, whichaims to reduce energy consumption and peak electric demand on the South Fork.Replacing current lighting and thermostats with more efficient equipmentreduces the amount of electricity needed by a building to operate, and lowersthe amount of electricity each building uses on a daily basis. These upgradesto Town buildings will save hundreds of thousands of kilowatt-hours and tens ofthousands of dollars annually.
