Skate Park Hours
Lars Simenson
The Town of East Hampton renamed the Montauk Skate Park as the “Lars Simenson Skate Park” in the spring of 2010. Lars was a beloved local resident of Montauk, who supported and regularly skated at the park before his untimely death in 2007 at the age of 18 due to a tragic accident. Due to his devotion to the sport of skating and desire to have a safe, well-constructed place available on public property to all those interested in pursuing the sport, the Town of East Hampton memorialized Lars by dedicating and renaming the park in his honor.
