Fisher, a principal account clerk at the East Hampton Airport, recently
completed a course offered by Airports Council International, a global airport trade
group that promotes excellence in airport management and operations, and was
awarded an Airport Operations Diploma.
completed three courses to achieve the diploma: one in Airside Operations,
focusing on the components of aircraft management; a second on Terminal and
Landside Operations, and the third on Airports Business Operations.
Brundige, the East Hampton Airport manager, commended Ms. Fisher’s interest in

that we run a safe and efficient facility,” Mr. Brundige said.“ This course has allowed her to better understand the functioning of an airport, enhancing her ability to be a part of the airport team.”
Fisher, who is interested in pursuing a career path in airport management,
completed the online coursework on her off time, at home.
