EH Town Provides Business Assistance as Reopening Phase Two Nears

In order to help restaurateurs make the most of a crucial summer season already curtailed due to virus precautions, Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc will propose relaxing a provision of the zoning code that allows only 30 percent of a restaurant’s approved seating to be placed outdoors. 

A discussion of the proposal, which would allow restaurants to accommodate more diners outdoors on restaurant property, provided state-mandated safety rules such as spacing tables at least six feet apart are followed, will take place at a town board meeting on Tuesday, June 9.
