All travelers must fill out an online health form upon arrival in New York State.
According to the new travel advisory and quarantine policy, in lieu of a full14-day quarantine, those who have spent more than 24 hours in any state not contiguous to New York may show results of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 3 days before arrival in NY, and quarantine for 3 days upon arrival. Upon negative results of a second COVID test taken four days after arrival, the traveler may leave quarantine.

Those who have been out of state for 24 hours or less do not need a COVID test prior to arrival in NY and are not required to quarantine upon entering NY. However, they must take a COVID diagnostic test 4 days after arriving in NY. Local health departments will monitor COVID tests, issue isolation orders if necessary, and initiate contact tracing.
