County Program Offers Business, Rental Assistance

Businesses in the Town of East Hampton or Village of Sag Harbor experiencing economic hardship due to the pandemic may apply to Suffolk County beginning on December 17 for a one-time grant of up to $5,000 for eligible businesses with up to 10 employees, or $10,000 for larger businesses. Funding is limited, and grants awards will be first-come, first-served. Renters experiencing financial hardship may be eligible for a one-time county grant in an amount up to 100% of one month's rent, up to a maximum of $2,500. The applicant will be required to fill out and sign a self-certification form to verify their income and how they were affected by the pandemic. Applications will be accepted through January 15, 2021.
