The mission of Information Technology is to support the Town of East Hampton by providing management, leadership, quality resources, effective services in information technology; and to nurture an environment in which productive application of computing and information technology can flourish. Information Technology coordinates and manages and maintains servers, workstations and laptops; networks (wired and wireless), databases, and the town’s website as well as e-mail hosting and provides remote access via secured network. Information Technology strives to be proactive in keeping pace with technology demands in a cost effective manner, while at the same time being innovative and forward thinking to ensure town data is properly safeguarded, while maintaining its infrastructure professional and responsible manner.
