Sealed Bids for the Safe Routes to School - Springs Fireplace Road Project will be received by the Town of East Hampton at the office of the Senior Purchasing Agent, 159 Pantigo Road, East Hampton New York until 3:00 pm on Thursday September 26, 2019 at which time they will be opened and recorded.


The project is subject to conformance with the NYSDOT’s Procedures for Locally Administered Federal Aid Project Manual and the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 41, Chapter 60, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).  The Contractor shall make good faith efforts to achieve the goals for minority (5.8%) and female (6.9%) workforce participation.  This contract does not require DBE participation (0%).


This federally and locally funded project (PIN 0760.26) consists of pedestrian safety improvements including the installation of sidewalks, ADA compliant ramps, new drainage structures , new traffic signage, flashing beacons, pavement markings and limited pavement rehabilitation/resurfacing along Spring Fireplace Road, a Town Owned Road from Woodbine Drive to the vicinity of Gardner Ave/School Street in the Hamlet of Springs. This project is funded under Federal Aid Project, Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21)

Plans and specifications may be picked up at the Purchasing Agent’s Office between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday starting September 5, 2019. All proposals must be submitted on the prescribed forms as bound herein and returned intact with complete Contract Documents.


No proposal will be considered unless it is delivered to in a sealed envelope, plainly marked “Town of East Hampton, Safe Routes to School Project EH19-033”. Each bid must contain the full name or names of the party or parties making the bid, and of all persons interested therein.


A 10% bid deposit and a Certificate of Non-Collusion must accompany all bid submissions


PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT the Town Board reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any or all bids submitted.
