Description of Park

Located behind the East Hampton Senior Citizens Center off of Springs Fireplace Road. This site features a basketball court, an oval walking track, a shuffleboard court, picnic tables, cooking grills, and a small playground.

Edith R. Parsons

The “Recreation Area” at the East Hampton Senior Citizens Center was named in honor of Edith R. Parsons in the fall of 1994. Edith was an original participant in the Town’s Senior Program and was a vibrant force in the activities of the Senior Citizens Center. She was also a member of Site Council. Edith was an educator until her retirement and took an active role in community affairs. The Edith Parsons Recreation Area was named after Edith in order to commemorate her lifelong public spirit.

Park Rules

  • Park open sunrise to sunset (unless otherwise permitted)
  • No unauthorized commercial activity
  • No alcohol, tobacco, or any illegal substance allowed on the premises
  • No skateboarding, rollerblading, biking, or scootering on the walking track or basketball court
  • No Vehicles Beyond Designated Areas
  • Dogs should be controlled at all times and pick up after your dog 
  • Park usage is “At Your Own Risk”
