Culloden Point

Description of Park/Beach

Located off of the dirt road portion of Soundview Drive/Road B in Montauk, where it overlooks the meeting of Fort Pond Bay and Block Island Sound. This site features a small dirt parking lot with access to the beach below by stairway. It offers spectacular views of the water and it is a great spot for hiking, picnicking, bird watching, photography, etc. It is also a popular spot for divers seeking the fortunes from the HMS Culloden. A second entry into the Culloden Point Preserve trail system is just north of Wills Point Road off of Flamingo Road in Montauk. For further information and hiking trails, please see the Culloden Point Preserve PDF.
