The Town Board launched the ‘All Hands on Housing’ initiative in January 2022 to address the critical housing situation in the Town of East Hampton. New York State has adopted legislation that will the Town to establish a 0.5% real estate transfer tax to help fund affordable housing. The Community Housing Fund Plan Committee has been established to develop the local legislation and implementation plan to be voted on at a referendum in the fall.
